stroke: 뇌졸중
"Did I just have a stroke?"
ferocious: 흉포한, 맹렬한, 격렬한
"There are some ferocious looking cutlets here tonight."
- There were some ferocious battles between Ukraine and Russia. (우크라이나와 러시아 사이에 격렬한 전투가 있었다.)
- He's just a ferocious beast. (그는 그저 흉포한 야수일 뿐이다.)
- A ferocious tsunami is coming to Japan right after the earthquake. (그 지진 직후, 일본에 격렬한 쓰나미가 오고 있다.)
grind with: 부비적거리면서 춤을 추다
"Find a cutlet, lock her in early, and grind with her all night until she's mine."
dock into: ~에 들어가다, 대다, 도킹하다
"I should probably dock into the VIP room"
(중요!) arbitrary: (1) 무작위적인, 제멋대로인 (2) 독단적인, 전횡을 일삼는

- He makes unpredictable, arbitrary decisions. (그는 예측할 수 없는, 제멋대로의 의사결정을 한다.)

(중요!) on the line: 위태로운
*우리 말로도 '선을 타다'라는 표현이 있죠? 아슬아슬하게 위험을 건 상태를 'on the line' 이라고 합니다.
"I put my ass and probably other parts of my body on the line to party with my bro."
- If we don't make a profit, my job is on the line. (수익을 내지 못하면, 내 자리가 위태로워.)
- My neck is on the line! (내 목이 날아가게 생겼다고!)
ditch out: 도망나오다
"Marshall just ditched out on our party."
- It's rude to ditch out on your own party, you know? (네 파티를 스스로 빠져나오는게 무례한 건 알지?)
(중요!) in the gutter: (1) 술 취한 (2) 도랑에, 길가에
*우리에게는 낯선 표현·단어이지만, 미드에서는 생각보다 자주 나오는 표현입니다.
"I'm just a lonely little P sitting out here in the gutter."
- Look at that guy in the gutter. (술 취한 저 남자 좀 봐.)
- He dropped his key in the gutter. (그는 도랑에 키를 빠트렸다.)
- You'd better straighten out your life, or you'll end up in the gutter. (생활 습관을 고치지 않으면, 몰락하게 될 거야.)
(중요!) transpire: 일어나다, 발생하다
"Never tell another soul what transpired here tonight."
- I want to know what will transpire. (나는 무슨 일이 일어날지 알고 싶어.)
- I won't just sit by and let that transpire. (나는 그저 가만히 앉아서 그 일이 일어나는 걸 지켜만 보지는 않을 거야.)
